Aesop's Fables

"I was wrong to doubt you, little mouse," he said. "Thank you for saving my life." "Goodbye, my friend." (Quotation from p,61)

I read "The lion and the mouse": "raion to nezumi" in Japanese. This is the story that a mouse saves a lion. Through the story, it tells us the moral: "Little friends can be great friends."
Aesop is the man who might exist in Greece thousands years ago and write these a lot of stories including "The lion and the mouse." All these stories have morals. These morals are useful in the education of all children around the world still now.
