The African Mask

 “One day Janet gets a letter from her old boyfriend Donald McKinnon. He invites her to visit him in Scotland. But when she gets there strange things start to happen. Why do people rush off when they hear Donald’s name? Why is Donald so sad? And what has Donald’s African mask got to do with all this?”   (quotation from the back of the book)

 It was a strange story, but I did not like it at all.

The Spring Cup

  “If Caroline doesn’t win the Spring Cup her father will sell her beloved horse Applewind. But how can she win when she has to complete against Sophie and her horse Blossom. They always come first! But both Caroline and her father learn a lesson and find out that winning is not always the most important thing.”  (quotation from the back of the book)

 I was surprised at the end of the story.

The Lost Smile

  “One night Sarah and Ben have the same dream: the Lord of Tears is going to take over the world and make everyone sad. But Sarah and Ben know how to stop him. Together they set off on a journey to find the Lord of Tears and bring happiness back to the world.”  (quotation from the back of the book)

 It was a little strange story, but it was easy to read and interesting.

The Red-headed League

  It was for the first time to read a work of Conan Doyle. It was very interesting!

Mowgli’s Brothers

   “When Mother Wolf finds a baby outside her cave she decides to keep him and raise him with her own cubs. But not everyone in the jungle wants Mowgli and soon he has to learn to defend himself against the crue tiger Shere Khan and followers.”  (quotation from the back of the book.)

 This is a story from The Jungle Book. I like The Jungle Book, so I also like the story.

A Christmas Carol

  “Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean and miserable man with no friends. One cold Christmas Eve three ghosts visit him and take him on a frightening journey to show him what is wrong with his life. Can Scrooge change and learn to become a better person?” (quotation from the back of the book.)

 This is a heartwarming story.

Zadie’s Big Day

David and the Great Detective

 David was brave, that was a good job.

The Surprise

   This is the story about Phillip family, a father, a mother, their children, Roger and Helen, and their aunt, Elizabeth. One day, Aunt Elizabeth came to Phillip family’s house with some presents. The one of her present for the children was a pterodactyl’ egg. The children was very happy, and they raised him carefully. But, Dacty grew up so fast that he hurts himself unintentionally. So, Aunt Elizabeth decided to bring Dacty to her museum only at night. In the museum, it happens what Dacty becomes a star.
