England (factfiles)

About twenty-five million people visit England every year. They come from countries all over the world. (p.1)

I chose this book with two reasons in this time. One of the reasons is that I like this series Oxford Bookworms because the books of this series have many colored photographs. They show me the actual atmosphere well, and they make me excited. Another is that I am interested in U.K. these days since I went to the U.K. in this summer. That trip had a great influence on me to study English language and English culture more than before.
As I read it, I could learn many things about England; for example, the history of England, cities and countrysides, there's famous universities,  festivals and so on. If you read this book, I think you may want to go England, or you may also be interested in the U.K. like me. I really recommend you to read it!

Great Migrations

(*1)
Around the world, day and night, and in every season, animals are moving from one place to another. (p.3)(*1)

Many species of animals migrate through a year. Some migrate a small distance, others do a huge one. This book tells me what kinds of animals migrate; where they go; why they do. Furthermore, this book takes readers around the world where they head toward. Therefore, I recommend you to have the trip with these animals in this book.

This book is in Oxford Reading and Discover series. I can enjoy reading this series because it has many photographs. Animal Life Cycles(*2) which is a book of the same series is similar story to Great Migrations, so if you like Great Migrations, I think you will also like it.

Read "The Hunt for Gold"

The robbers couldn't find the gold. They let everyone go. "Hooray," ssaid Luke. "Wilf's chewing gum saved the gold." "Is that chewing gum?" asked Luke's father. Luke's father and mother got some money for the gold. "I can have a new dress," said Alice. "And I can have new boots," said Luke. (pp.24-25)

Today I read "The Hunt for Gold." I often read the magic key seriese because I love it. The children on the books were very clever. Their cleverness is very interenting for me. The end of this story, they found a tiny piece of gold, but after they returned to their home, they lost it because one of them sneezed. It was also funny.
